Kumasi Ghana 2023

We started our mission by attending the MTC (Mission Training Center) 5 June . Before we left we had a few busy months preparing to leave again.  Trips to Houston, Colorado Family Reunion, California to see my sister and her family and tending and just being around  our grand children that we love so much. We will  be in Ghana for one year this time. We are serving as office secretaries, Lynn is financial. We are blessed to be around wonderful missionaries who are teaching the gospel to those who want to know more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints . We have a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel and the  love that our Heavenly Father  has for each and everyone of us. We have been too blessed not to know this! (I will share a few pictures of before leaving and our first two weeks).

In a Land Far Far Away....Sloane or Sierra Leone West Africa

Hello from West Africa Part 11  We arrived in Sierra Leone 20 September 2018 to begin our second West Africa Mission. It is now Christmas Day and I am finally going to write a small blog. Merry Christmas to all our family and friends, we love and miss you all so much.  All is well in the Sierra Leone Freetown mission. The night we arrived was quite the adventure. As we got off the plane after a VERY long journey, the skies were clear.  As we began to get to the boat to cross the water (the airport is on the other side of the bay) it began to get cloudy. The skies grew darker and darker and then the rains came, and boy did it come.  Not only was the rain torrential but lightning bolts seemed to surround us. We were not quite sure what we had got ourselves into.  We were the only passengers on the boat with 5 pieces of luggage that we were trying to keep dry and also keep them in the boat with the waves. The boat went up and down so vio...
